I recently discovered I likely experience something called hyperphantasia. It’s the ability to visualize things in your mind so vividly, it’s almost like seeing them in real life. For me, this shows up in all kinds of ways:
When I watch K-dramas, I don’t just watch, I feel every emotion, every lingering glance, every swelling piece of background music. When I read, I get lost inside the world like I’m living it. The books don’t just pass through my eyes, they wrap around my heart. And when I cry or reflect, my emotions come with color, texture, and memory. Everything is layered. Everything lingers.
